I have decided, after much thought, to start introducing Acai Berry Ultra-Slim into my family’s diet. I’ve weighed up the pros and cons, and I think that this is absolutely the right thing to do. I guess this post is a little bit of self-justification, more than anything else. Maybe it will provoke some discussion on the matter. Who knows?
Acai berry is a pretty awesome food, of this I am sure. I’ve seen the reviews on Oprah and elsewhere and it seems – scientifically at least – that there is no reason why I shouldn’t just start feeding the kids it right now! Obviously it’s not as simple as that. There’s no way to get the berries themselves, and I don’t want to use the supplements that are available in local health stores. The alternative is to go with one of the places on the Internet that offer acai berry purees. As I see it this is my only real choice.
Now, here comes the sticking point. I’m unsure about the ingredients that some of these manufacturers mix in with the acai. Some I’ve seen have caffeine in; others some very dubious additives indeed. My investigations ultimately led me to acai berry Ultra-Slim which appears to be 100% pure acai berry puree. This is one of just a handful of products that I’ve seen with that claim. Mixed in with the puree is something called Essentra Slim which – it turns out – is a pretty potent appetite suppressant.
As far as additives go this does seem to be so bad! There are no side effects as far as I can tell, and the more I read the more reassured I am that this is the right product for the job. As any mother will tell you, getting the kids to eat properly – not only the right foods but at the right times, too – is a bit of a mission. Anything that will help them stick to eating at mealtimes would make my job 10 times easier!
To top it off a very good friend of mine has recommended Acai Berry Ultra-Slim. She used it to help her lose some weight last fall. I trust her opinion. I ordered two bottles from the Acai Berry Site, and I’m now waiting for their arrival. I’ll try and report back when I’ve got them. I’m excited!
